How to apply for a Citibank T&E card

If you are expecting to travel regularly and your manager agrees approval – you are able to apply for a Citibank Visa corporate card. Please be aware that Citibank require 10 working days to issue a new corporate card from the point of your final approval. There is currently no way to speed up this process so please consider this before applying.

Please also make sure you have read and understand all relevant travel policies before applying for a card. Links to policies can be found at http://uk.travel.nbcuni.com.

Please be aware that all Citi credit cards come with a monthly limit of £3,000 and a single transaction limit of £3,000. If you require a limit increase please consult the “Card Increase” instructions.

Login to Craft

Log into the Craft Website (http://craft.inbcu.com/) using your SSO and password.

You will be presented with this page-- please hover your cursore over the Travel & Expense window.

"Travel & Expense" Options

From here you will be given the following options:

A New card applications
B. Car maintenance
C. Links
D. Administration (Authority dependent)

Select "New Card Applications"

Please select the “New card application” option and the currency sub option for the card you require. For this example we will order a GBP card.

Complete Application Form

Please complete the following fields:

A. Please select your title from the dropdown options
B. Please select your title from the dropdown options
C. Please select your office address from the dropdown options
D. Please enter your desk/office number.
E. Please enter your work phone number. Your mobile number should auto-populate (please double check)
F. Please enter a comment to assist your manager with approving the request
G. Once you have completed the form and double checked the details – please submit the application.

Application Agreement

Once submitted you will be presented with an agreement. Please read carefully and agree/disagree.

Application Status

If you agree – you will be automatically forwarded to the “application Status” page. From here you will be able to see who needs to approve the Citi card application. The approver will automatically receive an email informing them of the pending request.

"My Requests" Window

At any point you can view the progress of the report - please log into craft and navigate to the “My requests” window. This will show you all your recent requests – by clicking on the request labelled “T&E Card” it will take you back to the application status page.

Approval Turnaround

Once approved the request will be sent to the T&E team who will load the information into Citibank (24 hour turnaround time).

Citibank Review

Citibank will then review and process the application. The standard turnaround time for this is no longer than 48 hours although during busier periods Citibank may take up to 5 working days.

Citibank Approval

Once completed – Citibank will send you 2 emails (from [email protected]). Please follow the instructions on these emails. If you have not used Citi before you will need to create an account and complete security questions to access the site. If you have used Citi before you will need to log in with the previously provided information.

Verify Application

Once logged into Citi you will need to double check all information on the application.

Important – please be aware that Citi may automatically change at least 1 field in the submission which you will need to correct. This is a security procedure to stop anyone other than the cardholder successfully applying.

Final Submission

Once you have reviewed the form – please agree to the terms and conditions and submit.

From this point it will take 10 working days for the card and pin number to arrive. The Pin usually arrives the day before the card. There is no way to speed up this process.
